This program presented by Kissimmee Main Street is one more way for individuals, families, civic organizations, and businesses to participate in helping beautify our wonderful historic downtown. Our goal is to ensure that each flowerpot located in the downtown commercial district is overflowing with lush greenery and gorgeous flowers year round!

Kissimmee Main Street Introduction

Kissimmee Main Street was created to promote the historic preservation of the Kissimmee’s downtown area, including that area’s commercial, civic and religious enterprises and residences. It performs remedial actions to eliminate the physical, economic and social deterioration of the area by contributing to its community betterment through volunteerism and special events.

Kissimmee Main Street follows the National Main Street Center’s Four-Point Approach. In the 1970s, the National Trust developed its pioneering Main Street approach to commercial district revitalization.  This approach combines historic preservation with economic development to restore prosperity and vitality to downtown and neighborhood business districts. The four areas of focus are Promotions, Economic Restructuring, Design, and Organization .
